Terms of Use
vaultpub.sourcegear.com is a Vault server hosted by
SourceGear. It exists so that we may provide Vault
hosting services to software development projects in
the community. Use of this server is subject to the
following terms of use.
(Last revised on 4 December 2003)
1. There is no charge for use of VaultPub.
2. VaultPub's resources are limited. SourceGear
reserves the right to accept or reject any group
or project requesting space on VaultPub.
3. When you use VaultPub, you may be beta testing
pre-release versions of Vault. SourceGear
reserves the right to determine which version of
Vault is running on VaultPub. Upgrades of the
VaultPub server may require clients upgrades.
Users will be notified when upgrades are
scheduled to occur. At times, VaultPub may be
running a pre-release version of Vault which has
not yet been made available to the general
public. However, we will only install such
"beta" versions on VaultPub if SourceGear's own
team is already "dogfooding" the same version on
our own internal Vault development servers.
4. If you have any trouble with the VaultPub
server, email us at:
vaultpub-admin@sourcegear.com
5. If you place code in VaultPub, you own it, not
SourceGear.
6. VaultPub cannot be used for private stuff.
Anything you place here will be visible to the
whole world. VaultPub has a guest account which
grants read-only access to everything on the
server.
7. SourceGear disclaims all liability for any
claims from third parties related to your code.
8. SourceGear reserves the right to terminate this
service with 60 days notice.
9. You may not use this server to store porn,
mp3s, warez, or anything similar.
10. Currently, VaultPub's hardware is a Dual
Pentium 3 866 MHz server with RAID5 (plus hot spare)
disks and 1GB of RAM. We will back it up regularly
and in general, treat it as carefully as we treat
the Vault servers we use for our own daily development.
Nonetheless, we cannot be liable for any losses you
might incur if something here goes terribly wrong.
11. These Terms of Use are subject to change.
